Fourth Annual Festival of Trees
Share the Joy of the Holidays
Boyertown Area Multi-Service will be hosting the
Fourth Annual Festival of Trees on Friday, December 3rd, 2010.
This event is a way for local businesses,
service clubs or individuals to help
local families who need support
this holiday season.
Individuals may sponsor a tree
‘in honor of’ or ‘in memory of’ someone.
Each year, Boyertown Area Multi-Service provides gifts, wrapping paper and holiday meals to those who are simply unable to provide a traditional holiday experience for their children.
Last year the Festival of Trees……… Made it possible for Multi-Service to provide Christmas for children and families who did not have sponsors through our Christmas Giving Program. Last year Multi-Service provided Christmas for 327 children from 143 families.Assured that everyone who needed a holiday meal received all the fixings for a traditional holiday meal. Afforded Multi-Service the opportunity to purchase fuel for families who otherwise would be without heat.Made it possible for some of our families to enjoy a traditional holiday tree.
All who participate in the “Festival of Trees” help in guaranteeing the continuation of Multi-Service’s life enriching Holiday Programs. Requests for assistance are already on the rise this year.
This year’s Festival of Trees celebration will once again include Holiday Music presented by a number of local musicians. This event is free of charge and open to the public. The Festival of Trees will also be a stop on the traditional Holiday House Tour. Hundreds of people in our community will recognize your support of Boyertown Area Multi-Service and the families we embrace.
Participants will have the opportunity, prior to the Festival, to personally decorate a Christmas tree for the Festival of Trees promenade that will be held at the Multi-Service Building on December 3rd.
For a donation of $150, participants will be supplied
with a pre-lit, artificial Tree
that can decorate with ornaments
of the participants choosing.
Theme trees, such as teddy bears, animal treats, etc. are encouraged, but not manditory and are great fun for the attendees.
Throughout the evening, visitors will be given the opportunity to win the tree of their choice through the purchase of raffle tickets. The tree receiving the most raffle tickets will be judged the event favorite. A press release announcing the winner will be placed in the three local newspapers (Pottstown Mercury, Reading Eagle, and Boyertown Times). This is a great opportunity to showcase one's creativity and share the Joy of the Holidays with others.
The contributions through entry donations and the cost of decorations will brighten the homes and hearts of others.
Please consider participating in the “Festival of Trees” by decorating a Christmas tree this holiday season. Please contact us at events@boyertownareamulti-service.org. by November 6th to reserve your tree. Early entry will also guarantee recognition of your participation in all literature relative to the Holiday Tour.
