What is Boyertown Area Multi-Service?

Boyertown Area Multi-Service, Inc. is an independent, non-profit social service agency dedicated to meeting the needs of residents in the Boyertown Area School District as well as the townships of Amity, District, Hereford, Pike and Oley.

What services does Multi-Service provide?

  • Case Management assists clients of all ages, focusing on the financial difficulties and challenges individuals and families face. Case Managers provide assistance through internal services, programs and activities as well as referrals to external resources.
  • The Energy Assistance Program helps match clients up with government programs that will make their electricity and heating expenses more manageable.
  • An average of 100 households are fed from the Community Food Pantry every month. Each client gets one-on-one attention from a case manager — they receive guidance and support along with their food order.
  • The Meals on Wheels program delivers a hot noon meal to over 100 homebound recipients; many choose to receive a cold evening meal as well.
  • Volunteers provide Transportation to Medical Appointments for those who are not otherwise able to get to important doctor visits.
  • Multi-Service also hosts Participating Agencies such as Berks County Intermediate Unit, Juvenile Probation, Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, Veterans Affairs and a private licensed psychologist.

Multi-Service is also home to The Center at Spring Street, a lively gathering place for those over 55 years of age. It is a wonderful place to socialize, take part in a large variety of activities, and enjoy a noon meal prepared on-site by a talented chef.
