Special Collections
If you've collected for Multi-Service before, perhaps you're looking for some new ideas to spark interest at your organization, church, school, or business. Here are some creative ideas to inspire you. There's something for every time of the year! Here's a printable list of ideas in addition to what you see here!
Here are some collection ideas that never go out of season:
- SOAP — Short for Save Our Appearance Please, SOAP collections recognize the basic human right to cleanliness and self-esteem. Collect items that cannot be purchased with food stamps, which include anything that cannot be eaten: Personal care items (shampoo, bar soap, deodorant, toothpaste, etc.), paper products (paper towels, tissues, toilet paper, napkins, etc.), cleaning products (laundry detergent, dish soap, Lysol, etc.), diapers (especially sizes 3-5) and wipes, etc.
- Birthday Kits — Every child should feel special on their birthday. Build a birthday kit in a shiny gift bag with handles. Fill it with cake mix, a tub of icing, a drink mix, matching party plates, napkins, cups, candles, and balloons. Extras such as decor, toys, tablecloths, noisemakers, and more are also welcome.
Always keep in mind that we are unable to accept and distribute expired items.
Take these ideas and make them your own. We can't wait to see what you come up with!
